Pastor Chris Mukoki has brought affordable healthcare to his community with his clinic, which will help to ease the burden faced by public healthcare institutions
PASTOR Chris Mukoki of Progressive Ministry in Kagiso, west of Johannesburg, is not only focused on the spiritual being of his community but their physical wellbeing too. He has opened a privately owned clinic called Nkhethe Private Clinic, which will help to ease the burden faced by public clinics in the area.
PURSUING HIS DREAM
A former lecturer and banker, Pastor Chris has always dreamt of being part of the medical fraternity but he couldn’t study medicine as a result of the apartheid regime and ended up studying teaching instead.
“I could not study what I wanted so teaching was the closest thing that would enable me to help people. I worked as a lecturer for eight years at the former Soweto College of Education,” says Pastor Chris.
