Summer Health Tips

Invest In A Decent Water Bottle

It’s important to drink plenty of water during the summer as heat and sweat can leave you dehydrated. But steer clear of one-use plastic bottles. Not only are they bad for the planet, but studies show reusing them can be the germ equivalent of licking a dog’s toy! Buy a reusable plastic or stainless steel bottle and wash it thoroughly every day.

Arrange A Picnic

Drag your workmates out to the park or riverbank for an alfresco lunch. Or, weather permitting, get out the barbecue – or simply eat your evening meal outside rather than at the dining table. Close links with friends and family can boost a person’s health more than exercise, losing weight or quitting cigarettes and alcohol, say psychologists in the journal Plos Medicine.
