The Princes’ feud rocks their royal foundation

It’s not quite 18 months since they earned the nickname The Fab Four, after they pledged to pool their star power to help others.

But despite Prince Harry saying, “We are stuck together for the rest of our lives,” the dream team is no more, with he and wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, going off in a separate direction to brother Prince William and his wife

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, when it comes to their charitable endeavours.

It’s been announced that Harry (34) and Meghan (37) are leaving the foundation they were part of with William (37) and Kate (37) to set up one of their own. Just 16 months ago, the foursome attended a forum to promote their joint Royal Foundation and enthused about what they could achieve together. Since being set up in 2009 by the brothers, who were later joined by their wives, the Royal Foundation has supported a variety of causes, from mental health awareness through to conservation and assistance for military veterans.

At the forum in February last year both brothers admitted they didn’t always see eye-toeye when it came to working together, but Harry said they had “healthy disagreements. Working as a family does have its challenges, of course it does,” he said. “We have got four different personalities and we’ve all got that same passion to want to make a difference. But different opinions. And I think those opinions work really, really well.”

But the Royal Foundation will now no longer embody the altruistic ambitions of the next generation of the royal family.

Instead, it will focus only on William and Kate, renamed the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The name of Harry and Meghan’s foundation is yet to be revealed.
