Harry dated many beautiful women before finding love with Meghan.
He was, for many years, the world’s most eligible bachelor. Good-looking, thoughtful, cheeky, charming, fun-loving and a prince to boot, Harry was considered a great catch and never lacked for female attention.
Yet despite two serious longterm relationships and a series of flings, he failed to find “the one”. In May 2016, he spoke out about the fact he was still single and tried to be philosophical.
“To be fair, I haven’t had that many opportunities to get out there and meet people,” he said in an interview. “At the moment, my focus is very much on work. But if someone slips into my life, then that’s absolutely fantastic.”
As we all know now, it was just two months later that he was set up on a blind date with the woman who has become his wife. But up until then, despite the brave face he was putting on in public, Harry must have been wondering if he would ever find the kind of love his brother Prince William had found with Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
For a long time, Harry thought Chelsy Davy would be the woman he’d end up with. The Zimbabwean-born blonde was his first love and he was besotted with her.
Harry met Chelsy in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2004, while visiting during his gap year. Chelsy, who is a year younger than Harry, was at university there, doing an economics degree. The daughter of a multi-millionaire safari park owner and a former Miss Rhodesia, she had spent time in England at Cheltenham College and Stowe School.
