Puppies, princesses & promises JAMES' FAIRYTALE WEDDING

They fell in love after being introduced by a dog and had to postpone their wedding twice – but now they’ve finally said “I do”!

James Middleton – the younger brother of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and brother-in-law of Prince William – secretly tied the knot with his fiancée Alizée Thevenet in a picturesque French village on September 11.

“Words cannot describe how happy I am,” James later announced, sharing a photograph of the happy couple both wearing white and the message, “Yesterday I married the love of my life, surrounded by family, friends and of course a few dogs in the beautiful village of Bormes-les-Mimosas.”

Among the guests reported to be at the ceremony were Kate and William, Kate and James’ sister Pippa, parents Carole and Michael Middleton, and at least two of James’ beloved dogs.

The low-key nuptials were a long time coming for the couple, who met at a private members club in London in 2018. James was relaxing at the $6800 a year establishment, with his spaniel Ella lying at his feet under the table, when he realised she was thirsty.

“I trusted her to take herself over to the water bowl across the terrace,” the 34-year-old recalled later. “However, she made a beeline for Alizée. Rather embarrassed, I went over to apologise and to bring Ella back.
