Married Coronation Street characters Sarah Platt and Jason Grimshaw had their fair share of drama on the long-running show.
Now the actors who play the pair - and who were once a couple in real life - have made headlines, thanks to their difficult relationship.
Ryan Thomas, who played builder Jason in the show until 2016, has accused his ex Tina O'Brien (Sarah) - with whom he has a daughter, Scarlett - of smashing up his expensive Range Rover with a baseball bat.
The wing mirror was allegedly knocked off and the paintwork scratched during an incident in the early hours of a Sunday morning.
An insider says, “Ryan and Tina have a fractious relationship. They are not on good terms and that tension boiled over. Tina, who was at a pal's house party, came out into the street to meet him as Jason drove up. Soon after, the car was damaged by a baseball bat."
The source added that it was quite a disturbing incident” and a furious Ryan drove off as soon as he could.
The pair co-parent Scarlett, 13, but barely speak any more. The current state of affairs is a long way from the passionate early days of their relationship. Tina, 38, and Ryan, 37, met on the set of Coro in 2000 after Ryan joined the show, aged 16. Tina, who had taken over the role of Sarah Platt the year before, initially dated fellow actor Bruno Langley, who played Ryan's character's brother Todd Grimshaw.
But by 2003, she and Bruno had split up, and shortly afterwards she fell for Ryan.
