Can Piers and Holly SAVE THE SHOW?

Good Morning Britain is still yet to replace Piers Morgan after his sensational walkout in March after arguing on-air with fellow presenter Alex Beresford. While there have been popular stand-ins, including Richard Madeley, Alastair Campbell, Adil Ray and Martin Lewis, producers haven’t yet decided who will take the helm permanently.

Now viewers are calling for another famous face to take on the role - This Morning’s Holly Willoughby. And, with Piers hinting that he could return to the breakfast show, could he and Holly be ITV’s new golden couple?

A new dynamic duo?

Fans of Good Morning Britain have made it clear they’d love to see Holly, 40, on the show.

One commented, ‘Can you get Holly Willoughby to host on GMB?’ while another said, ‘If Ben Shephard can present an episode of GMB and This Morning on the same day, Holly can do it too.’ But a third viewer had a different take on things, saying, ‘My ideal pairing would be to see Holly and Susanna[Reid] do GMB together.’

‘I suspect I’ll be back soon’

Could Holly and Piers be the new pairing? Since he left in March, ratings have dropped steadily – one episode in June drew just 450,000 viewers, which was a huge drop from the 1.9 million who tuned in the day before he quit.
