Shrugging off my coat, I dropped my keys onto the sideboard and wrestled my phone out of my pocket. It was September 2019 and I’d been out all morning, dropping my car off at a local garage for repairs. ‘It’ll be a while,’ the mechanic warned me.
I wasn’t in a rush to go anywhere, so I decided to head home for a brew while I waited for it to be fixed. ‘Better than sitting in a draughty workshop waiting room,’ I told myself.
Getting cozy
After pouring myself a mug of steaming tea, I settled on the sofa and clicked open the Woman Bingo app on my phone for a game. I’d joined over 10 years earlier, in September 2007.
I’d loved playing bingo since I was in my 20s, but as I’d got older and had a family, going to the halls with my friends wasn’t something I did anymore. Now I found there was nothing quite like getting cozy on the sofa while playing a few of my favorite games of bingo.
