Royal biographer Duncan Larcombe reveals why he thinks the two duchesses are worlds apart
Ever since the now Duchess of Sussex married Prince Harry in May last year, rumours of a rift between her and Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, have been constant.
So when the former actress and Prince William’s wife attended Wimbledon together earlier this month, it seemed that they might have finally worked out their differences.
But, despite them being pictured chatting and looking more at ease in each other’s company than they have in a long time, many cynical royalists branded the outing as a desperate attempt to silence the rumours.
And royal biographer Duncan Larcombe tells Woman that, even if Meghan and Kate, both 37, manage to build bridges, they’re probably never going to be friends.
He says, ‘There’s only really one person on the planet who can identify with what Meghan has been through, so you would expect them to become best friends and for Kate to almost mentor her. The reality is that just hasn’t happened.
