We met up with chef, author and presenter Gino D’Acampo for an exclusive chat about Gordon and Fred, his cheeky This Morning jibes and why he loves the company of women

You, Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix have worked together a lot. Do you ever try and out-macho each other?

Well, Gordon is the alpha male. He’s the one who knows everything and is in charge. And you’ve got Fred, who is very competitive with Gordon, so they always end up butting heads. Then you’ve got me – and I just like to have fun.

Who’s the most badly behaved?

Let’s just say, I’m the one that’s usually late because I’ve been out, and I don’t always listen to the director when I should.

Who would win in a cook-off?

Fred, because Gordon and I would be trying too hard to outdo each other. Fred is a clever French f****r and he would take advantage of the situation and win.

Have you got them Christmas gifts?

Yes, I’ve bought them bracelets engraved with ‘GGF – The Party Never Ends’.

You joked there won’t be time for you to work together because Gordon is busy doing his hair (i.e. working in America). Will you guys team up for another show?

Yes, but Gordon is very busy having a new set of highlights. I think he’s going for the Trump quiff. We don’t have any plans for anything at the moment, but I’m sure we will.

You’ve admitted in the past that you find women’s conversations more fascinating than men’s…
