If there’s one person who can spread some festive cheer this year, then it’s Only Fools and Horses legend Sir David Jason.
The actor, 80, lives in London with his wife of 15 years, Gill Hinchcliffe, 60, and as he reflects on 2020, he says, ‘I think it’s been challenging, and, like most people, I’ve been very upset and frustrated by the change of normal life.’
Though he adds, ‘But I’ve got a big garden and I’m very, very lucky, and it’s not been nearly as difficult for me as it has been for most people.
‘I have the greatest sympathy with everybody in this country who, for one reason or another, have had their lives turned completely upside down by this terrible disease we have running about. But, as they said in the last war, we have to keep calm and carry on!’
David found that the hardest part of this year was not being able to act, but trying to focus on the positive, he found other ways to occupy his time.
