<div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always">I had an incredible house in Las Vegas, which was originally owned by the guy who actually owns Las Vegas itself. I bought it to stay in whenever I&rsquo;d play there for long periods of time and I didn&rsquo;t want to stay in a hotel. The house was L-shaped, all decked out like a hotel, and it was so long you could jog around it. In fact, a friend of mine came over with his wife and when they saw another section of the house out of the window, they said, &lsquo;I can&rsquo;t believe Engelbert has neighbours so close by,&rsquo; so I said, &lsquo;That&rsquo;s not neighbours, that&rsquo;s my house!&rsquo; When I was in Los Angeles, I rented my Vegas house to all the stars. Dean Martin was a regular. I&rsquo;d often come back to the house and find cigarette burns on the furniture. But I never said anything because I adored the man. Actress Shirley MacLaine and singer Barry Manilow both also stayed at my house, as did many other huge stars who had residencies in Las Vegas.<div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always">There was one fella, comedian and impersonator Rich Little, who had a very funny trick he used to play on me whenever he&rsquo;d stay.Whenever he left the premises, he would put his face everywhere you went in the house. So if you looked on the ceiling in the bedroom, there was a picture of him there, if you went to the loo and lifted up the lid, you&rsquo;d see his face on a piece of plastic material, you open a cupboard, he&rsquo;s there, you lift up the covers of the bed, he&rsquo;s there. He put his face everywhere. So I&rsquo;d send my kids on a hunt to find out where he&rsquo;d put all these pictures.I started to do the same thing to him and put my pictures everywhere, so when he rented the house again, he would find my face everywhere, and sprayed lots of my cologne too!<div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always">I sold it way back in 2004, but I still have lots of great memories from that house.<img src="https://magarticles.magzter.com/articles/5908/439548/5ea00338e495d/1587544427019.jpg"" owidth=441 oheight=339" style="width: 441px; height: 339px;" /><div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always">My funny old weekWHERE I&rsquo;VE BEEN To England to do some promotion for my shows at the London Palladium in May.
