One of Hollywood’s strongest unions is in crisis

Their 32-year marriage is among showbiz’s longest and strongest, but if there’s anything that could tear Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson apart, it’s their troubled son Chet.

“Tom and Rita have one of Hollywood’s most admired and enduring marriages for a reason – they’re absolutely perfect together,” a source close to the couple tells Woman’s Day.

“There have never been any rumours of straying, strife or discontentment. They’re the ultimate team. But they’re the first to admit they’ve had their ups and downs.”

And at the moment, the couple are at loggerheads over what to do about their son.

In March, Chet, 31, was slapped with a temporary restraining order after he allegedly made threats to his ex-partner Kiana Parker.

He denied the abuse, and filed a lawsuit against Kiana for theft, assault, conversion and battery.

Weeks later, Kiana filed a civil lawsuit against Chet for assault and battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

In March, a Texas judge granted temporary legal protections for Kiana after finding Chet was verbally and physically abusive. He was also banned from firearm possession.
