Just the individual’s identity.
As I was getting dressed for work, my mother called out, “Vidya, breakfast is ready.” I quickly finished dressing and rushed to the table since I was getting late for my work. Just when I sat down for breakfast, my bhabhi came in and stated excitedly that there was a job opening for graduates at her company. I looked at her with exasperation and told her that I was very passionate about the work that I do. Bhabhi, pretending as if she did not hear me, went on urging me to rethink as I would get a great pay package. Seeing no sense in arguing with her, I simply tuned her out and walked away.
You all might be wondering who I am and what I do. Hi, I am Vidya and am a social activist. I primarily work for the welfare of people working in small industries and enterprises, wherein I make them aware of their rights. I also guide them to the right institutions where they can get monetary and legal help, whenever required. In addition, I try to create awareness among them on the need for good health and education.
