If you’re only just embracing quinoa and are still ploughing through 101 ways to eat an avocado, it’s time to catch-up. Along with the start of a new decade comes a load of new food trends to try. Here’s what the nutritional experts predict we’ll be putting on our plate in the year ahead.

The algae revolution

Get ready to see so much more of algae oil, which comes directly from algae and is a rich-source of omega 3 fats. ‘It’s vegan-friendly, sustainable, and has the added benefit of far fewer contaminants such as such as the toxic compounds PCBs, in comparison to fish oil,’ says nutritionist Lily Soutter.

Peace in a cup

The latest trend for all things CBD continues and the newest way to get a hit of hemp is in your drink.
