Herbal teas – you either love them or hate them, the Marmite of the liquid world!! I have a foot in both camps and enjoy them at certain times. However, like most things on earth, they taste better if you grow them yourself and harvest them when needed.
Most of us have heard of Chamomile tea, (to help with sleep), and the unprocessed Green tea, which is purported to be so very good for your health, but there are so many other teas, which can be made from ordinary garden plants.
Herbal tea, sometimes known as tisane, is made from the leaves, flowers, seeds, or roots of various plants. Growing your own herbal tea plants is fun and allows you to enjoy the fresh flavour and benefits of your own tea, whilst adding beauty to your garden. Many herbal tea plants have medicinal properties and are caffeine free, and also offer a range of health benefits.
