
The crescent-shaped art district of Mumbai is where all T designers have made their home. It's where you can walk down the strip of land perfectly hinged between Mumbai Port's docklands, Colaba, and Flora Fountain to grab a coffee, marvel at the reupholstered synagogue, enter an art gallery, and shop for the best of design in the country.
It's only fitting that Anita Dongre chose to open its largest flagship store in one of Mumbai's oldest neighbourhoods. "This is a very large city and we wanted to respect our consumers' time and come closer to some of them. We had been looking for a space in Kala Ghoda for a long time, and I love how art, fashion, cafés-it all comes together in this compact space," says the eponymous designer and founder over a phone call on the eve of her brand's new launch.
