New face and more range for EQS

The Mercedes-Benz T EQS electric saloon has gained an extra 51 miles of range and a new front-end design that echoes the firm's traditional radiator grille as part of a series of major upgrades.

The BMW i7 rival also receives wide-ranging interior updates, including the option of more luxurious rear seats, new driver assistance features and the deployment of the MBUX Hyperscreen as standard. The updates will also be applied to the smaller EQE saloon, EQE SUV and EQS SUV, which all share the same EVA2 bespoke electric platform.

Despite the significant increase in range, Mercedes doesn't consider this a full mid-life facelift. Instead, the platform's chief project manager, Holger Enzmann, described the changes as "an upgrade before the update".
