This is the Mission X Concept. A present by Porsche for celebrating 75 years. Not just any present, folks. This sleek-looking electric hypercar is on a path to be a track monster. For starters, Porsche claims the Mission X to have a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. No official information on the powertrain, but it will have an electric powertrain offering over 1500 bhp. This also means that it will weigh around 1500 kg. Sweet. If this is the case, the top speed will most likely exceed 322 kph, but the priority will be on acceleration. We reckon a 0-100-kph sprint time of less than 2 seconds. That's not it. Downforce&nbsp;on this one is more than that of the current GT3 RS (860 kg) and it charges twice as fat as the Taycan Turbo S.

Speaking of the battery, it is mounted behind the seats and not under them. This makes the car only 1.2 metres tall, sitting on 20-inch wheels up front and 21 inches at the rear. Not to forget, the car's 4496 mm in length, 1999 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2728 mm. These dimensions are similar to the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder, by the way. Inside, you'll find a motorsport-inspired steering wheel which has mode switches and shift paddles on it. What in the world are&nbsp;shift paddles doing on an electric hypercar? We are curious. Apart from that, it has carbon seats, a six-point harness and a removable dash-top stopwatch as well.
It's still unknown when will Porsche put the Mission X into production, but we're sure it has a plan laid out before the Mission X goes out and smashes the Nurburgring lap record. How long until we get to witness a proper road legal track-focused electric hypercar? Going by Porsche's past concept cars to production cars journey, we'd say it should take close to 5 years from now. Let's hope Porsche lives up to its claims.
