STREET Machine of the Year is one of the longest-running, most prestigious, most S lucrative and certainly most democratic prizes in the Aussie car-crafting scene, with $20,000 and eternal bragging rights on the line. For a tilt at winning, a car must have been built primarily in Australia and featured in Street Machine over the past year.
We turned to SM staff and contributors to select the 16 finalists. Now it's up to you to decide which of those 16 takes home the perpetual SMOTY trophy and the $20K grand prize, thanks to our friends at Milwaukee.
This year's list includes six Holdens, four Fords, three Mopars, two Toyotas and even a Suzuki Mighty Boy, and covers a diverse range of build styles. Incredibly finished show cars, immaculate pro tourers, staunch muscle cars, a four-cylinder Corolla panel van and a ground-scraping mini-truck are all in the running.
YOU CAN WIN TOO!
IT'S not just the SMOTY finalists who are in with a chance to win a fat stack of cash. Just by voting for your favourite car, you'll go in the draw to win a cool $5000 to spend however you like, so lodge your vote today!
HOW TO VOTE
VOTING is easy! Just head to smoty.com.au, follow the prompts to the entry page and fill out the form with your full name, mailing address, phone number and email address.
