A prilia has revealed the RSV4 Xtrenta to celebrate 30 years since its first World Championship title in 1992. The motorcycle claims to be the first road-going bike with MotoGP-inspired rear and under wings, designed with help from Aprilia's Racing department. Production will be limited to 100 units, with relevant numbering. This road-going Aprilia thus imbibes MotoGP DNA more than any of the previous RSV4s, borrowing materials, components, electronics, and the MotoGP-spec air-slicing vanes. Downforce is up by 25 percent and drag drops to four percent.

The V4 engine's revised compression ratio and titanium and carbon exhaust system from SC-Project result in a manic 233PS, which when coupled to the bike's scant weight of just 166 kg should make for unreal acceleration numbers. A full titanium exhaust like the MotoGP bikes will be offered as an option. The chassis is fine-tuned with Andreani-modified Ohlins suspension and a billet steering plate. Brembo GP4-MS billet monobloc callipers and 330mm T-drive discs help it shed speeds and the Xtrenta runs on forged magnesium Marchesini M7R Genesi rims shod with 120/70 and 200/65 section Pirellis.
