I've been riding MTBs regularly for ages and the concept of an electrically assisted cycle is new and intimidating for me. To get to understand the concept of e-cycles, I have been using the Autoline Espeed 27.5 for my daily commutes and extensively in traffic, inclines, and broken roads. It is powered by a BLDC 36V 250-watt (0.34PS) electric motor with a 25kmph top speed and three ride modes. It's claimed to do 30km on a full charge but it only managed around 20km in the real world.

A basic information console shows the remaining charge and the assist mode. There's only a single-speed sprocket setup which is a bit of a bummer as a seven-speed cassette would have been ideal. The mechanical disc brakes also don't quite have enough bite. I also faced an issue of the chain getting stuck though a visit to the mechanic should sort it out. The Espeed 27.5 is Autoline's first foray into the e-cycle space and helps the startup put its foot in the door.

However, its 35,000 price tag feels a tad high and there is room for improvement in terms of quality and styling.&nbsp;&nbsp;
