<p>Dr Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, led the &ldquo;Founder&rsquo;s Ride&rdquo; to commemorate the 100th birthday of his late father, Padma Bhushan Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal, founder of the Hero Group. Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal started out by&nbsp;manufacturing bicycle parts in the 50s, by founding Hero Cycles in 1954. From there the company grew to be the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the world.</p>

<p>The Hero Honda chapter started exactly 30 years&nbsp;later, in 1984, when Hero signed a deal with Honda. In April 1985, the first-ever Hero Honda motorcycle, a CD 100, rolled out of the assembly line, and the nation&rsquo;s automotive history changed forever.</p>
<p>To commemorate the 10th anniversary of this titan of the Indian auto industry, Dr Pawan Munjal led a 100-strong group of riders for 100 kilometres. Hero MotoCorp will also organise various activities throughout the company for this centennial year, including blood donation drives and community initiatives.</p>
