LIGHTS OUT

The excitement for getting back on the track was high after the training and selection round of the TVS Young Media Racer Program last month and it multiplied further when we received an email to apply for the FMSCI licence as the first race was all set to be held on June 3 and 4, at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore. Time flew by quickly post that and the next thing I remember I was already on a flight to Coimbatore.

What lay ahead was a proper race weekend with practice and qualifying on Saturday and the main race on Sunday. The weekend also saw Kari Motor Speedway host the first round of the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2023 and there were multiple races scheduled over the weekend, with ours acting as a support race. It was a full house in the pits with the atmosphere filled with the cacophony of mechanics working on the motorcycles, race control making announcements, and riders warming up their engines before heading out on the track.
