OFF-ROAD 911

We all know the Porsche 911 as an everyday sports car, but how about one that can do the job off the beaten path? Well, the Porsche 911 Dakar does just that as it is built to conquer all kinds of terrains, be it snow, sand or rocks, while still being a hoot to drive on the well-paved asphalt. It is a limited production model with only 2,500 units being made and pays homage to the 1984 Paris-Dakar rally-winning modified 953 with the optional Rallye Design Package which also includes the iconic Rothman's livery.

It continues to be powered by a 3.0-litre bi-turbo six-cylinder engine like its more road-friendly siblings with 480PS of power, 570Nm of maximum torque and a 0-100kmph sprint coming up in a claimed 3.4 seconds. But the top speed is limited to 240kmph due to its all-terrain tyres. It is specced with an eight-speed PDK gearbox and unsurprisingly, gets Porsche's all-wheel-drive system as standard.
