We always knew that Scandinavia has some of the prettiest cruising grounds and best boating infrastructure anywhere in the world but this takes it to a whole new level. The island of Gullholmen, off the west coast of Sweden, looks like a boater's paradise with plentiful visitors' berths, immaculate facilities, a large club house and hundreds of sheltered islands and bays to explore within a few miles of the dock.
The marina occupies its own little islet, while the town is spread across two slightly larger interconnected islands. MBY reader Per Harrtoft took this drone photo of them on his way north to the even more remote Norgwegian archipelago of the Lofoten Islands (that's his Grandezza 40 fly berthed alongside the quay). You can read Part One of his fascinating account on p50-55 of this issue. We're just wondering how he ever managed to drag himself away from Gullholmen!
1 NEW SUNSEEKER PREDATOR 55
Sunseeker has revealed the first computer renderings of an all-new Predator 55 due to be launched at the Cannes show in September.
Based on the same hull and engine package as the Superhawk 55, it features a totally new deck moulding with a fully enclosed saloon and more generous accommodation below decks, including an optional third cabin.
Despite the extra interior volume created by the slightly raised deck and hard top, Sunseeker's designers have done a fine job of disguising its height with the use of extensive glazing and gloss black detailing.
Unlike the Superhawk, which has a full beam cockpit extending all the way forward to the helm position with side gates leading out to the foredeck, the Predator has a more conventional layout with a slimmer cockpit/saloon and side decks running most of the way to the transom.

Lofoten or Bust- Part 4- Grandezza owner Per Harrtoft heads back to Sweden after an epic 3500nm adventure deep into the Arctic Circle to visit the mythical Lofoten islands
After ten memorable days in the Lofoten Islands in the far north of Norway, we are on our way back south towards Sweden. We have already made it as far as Trondheim, a charming place even if it was raining so hard we had to cycle round the city centre clutching umbrellas. But now we are back on board Deamare, our Grandezza 40 Fly, eating up the miles at a steady 31 knots.
