BENETTI MOTOPANFILO 37M / HERITAGE AND MODERNISM
• What We Said "The shipyard wanted to create a yacht that hearkened back to some of its deliveries from the 1960s and 1970s in terms of exterior styling and interior design. However, the yacht also needed to appeal to today's cruisers, who expect amenities that didn't exist 50 years ago. The result is the Benetti Motopanfilo 37M.". Interior Matters In opposition to a lot of modern exterior yacht designs, the semi-custom Benetti Motopanfilo 37M has a deliberately linear profile to tie in with the yacht lines of yesteryear. It's an eye-catching aesthetic. It definitely caught our editors' peepers. Equally striking is the interior's white-lacquer arches, accented by pale oak in between. The arches-penned to imitate a whale's rib bones-create an upscale feel, crisply and artfully define the salon and dining space, and create continuity, as they are also found in the four guest staterooms. These clever interior appointments are functional too, creating extra stowage and concealing air-conditioning system elements. Hull No. 1 has throwback, matte-finished wood soles and bronze-paint accents outside to give the look of wood cap rails without the maintenance. Final Thoughts The Benetti Motopanfilo 37M successfully straddles the line between timeless design and modern amenities, wrapped in spettacolare luxury.
