A new entertaining tome titled 60-Second Cocktails: Amazing Drinks to Make at Home in a Minute, by Joel Harrison and Neil Ridley (Princeton Architectural Press; $25), features recipes for drinks that can be made in about the amount of time it takes to choose, open and pour a bottle of wine.
Harrison and Ridley, seasoned cocktail writers, are quick to point out that they're not bartenders. They've geared their book toward people like themselves: Fans of expertly made drinks who learned how to mix them at home during pandemic lockdowns and are now showing off their new skills at dinner parties. "We love going to bars, but we I love this new movement of trying to make great drinks at home," says Ridley
