Melting cultures
Dipped in warm gold accents, rich Indian heritage decor pieces and bespoke luxury, Shanti Banaras, the bespoke boutique store, is prominently located in the prominent neighbourhood of Kala Ghoda, South Bombay Banaras, on the other hand, is a city with a rich heritage of textiles and craftsmanship.
Craftfully melding both cultures into its design, the store’s design philosophy creates an interchangeable relationship between the brand and the customer. “We began the spatial design of this store, which is located in the iconic neighbourhood of Kala Ghoda, keeping in mind the brand identity and our interpretation of the Eastern perspective, which focuses on creating a holistic experience for the customer that builds a relationship with the brand,” expresses Archana & Rupesh Baid from AND Design Co, Mumbai.
Thus, the alluring store represents a significant development in the country’s fashion landscape, showcasing a fusion of traditional artistry and contemporary designs. The planning of the 3800-sq.ft store area is segregated craftfully into different zones based on the various types of merchandise. These distinct zones focus on easy browsing as well as seamless product display for easy visual access for its patrons.
One can notice a prominent use of gold in design conceptually associated with wealth and glamour. Thus, adding gold leafing to the store’s interior extrudes a sense of high-end sophistication and exclusivity.
