And, according to Nicke Widyawati, president director and CEO at Pertamina, that focus, along with the company's dedication to sustainability, is paying off. Last year, the company recorded its highest-ever profit of $3.8 billion, an 86% increase from 2021, which it attributed to technological innovation, boosted oil and gas production, and improved drilling efficiency.
