THE WRESTLER'S PROTEST

We have celebrated all the Gold Medals awarded to India in various sports and events including Commonwealth games and Olympics. The Entire Indian country praised the Olympic medalists like PV Sindhu, Neeraj Chopra, Saina Nehwal, Mary Kom and more.

Excuse me for not mentioning a numerous names more but, you get the point. The country which showers the players with praise, gifts and honors will not heed to their difficulties and the biases those players are facing, why?

The top wrestlers of India who have won numerous medals for the country and have made Indian reputation reach the skies, are on roads today. It's been months since it started but there's even no proper media coverage for their protest. The media which reports a politician's speech endlessly on loop is turning a blind eye towards the protests of the wrestlers. Why? Is it because the prime accused in the case is a person in authority and the MP of the ruling party? If that's true, what kind of freedom do you think you actually have, when all the information you are getting, is clearly tailored by the bureaucrats? Let's look into some objective facts.

Indian top wrestlers are protesting against the management of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a BJP Lok Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh. The protests were started at Jantar Mantar on January 18, 2023 when the wrestlers alleged that the WFI president, Brij Bhushan Singh has resorted to several sexual harassment incidents. Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist Bajrang Punia, two-time world championships medallist Vinesh Phogat and Rio Olympics bronze medallist Sakshi Malik are leading the protest. They are demanding that an FIR be filed upon the accused and proper action to be taken upon him.
