Mohammead Atique has been a key figure in the establishment and functioning of some of the most prominent institutions in Jodhpur and other places. He is credited with establishing a trust and donating prime land for the construction of a threestory Jama Masjid in Industrial Area, Jodhpur. As General Secretary of the Marwar Muslim Educational and Welfare Society (MMEWS), he has been actively involved with the running and administration of more than 330 important educational, health and social institutions currently functioning under the Society.
Established since year 1929, (MMEWS) was a traditional community welfare institution. Mohammed Atique, now 75 years, was 40 years old when sparked by an emotion for education, associated with MMEWS, which supports projects that span rural development, healthcare, education and culture. Maulana Azad University was established in 2013. His unique approach of bridging community divide has seen establishment of a well-furnished Mai Khadija Hospital, RahmatulLil-Alameen Blood campaign, establishment of a well-managed Marwar Adarsh GAUSHALA and Veterinary Hospital at Bujhawar village District Jodhpur.
His belief in uncommon solutions to problems specific to the marginalized communities has brought in unique partnerships between the States, Communities with exceptional results. His matchless efforts have immensely contributed to the highly acclaimed model of leveraging community resources to promote economic opportunity for people living in poverty in the region. In 2022, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot granted Rs 15 crore for the development of Centre of Excellence and Research Centre.
