Director and former Happy Days actor Anson Williams has thrown his hat in the ring to be the mayor of Ojai, Calif. "Ojai represents a very tactile, a very inspired community that gives before they take," Anson, 72, an 11-year resident of this artsy city northwest of Los Angeles, tells Closer. "It's people helping people. I'm running to make sure it continues."
Like so many bucolic places that appeal to visitors, Ojai is suffering growing pains. Anson would like to use his showbiz know-how to bring in more business with festivals or special events that wouldn't harm Ojai's small-town charm. "I'm coming up with very specific ways to bring more money to our community without changing our community," he says. "We need tourists, but we need to put the community first."&nbsp;
