JANE FONDA MY BIGGEST REGRET

Successfully battling cancer forced Jane Fonda to take stock of her life. “I’m not scared of dying,” she says. “I don’t want to go — I still have a lot to do — but if I discovered I had cancer again and there was nothing I could do, I’d be OK with it.”

The 85-year-old Oscar winner and environmental activist, who is in remission from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, has certainly accomplished a lot, but she can’t help think that she could have been a better mother to her three children, Mary Williams, 55, Vanessa Vadim, 54, and Troy Garity, 49. “I have great, great children — talented, smart. And I just didn’t know how to do it,” she admits. “I’ve studied parenting, and I know what it’s supposed to be now. I didn’t know then. So I’m trying to show up now.”
