KIM {1950}
The 1950 adventure film Kim, directed by Victor Saville, is an adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic 1901 novel of the same name. The movie stars Errol Flynn, Dean Stockwell and Paul Lukas and is set during the Great Game, a political and diplomatic standoff between the British Empire and the Russian Empire. In this film, a young orphan boy becomes the focus of the story. He is trained as a spy by the agents of the British Raj and is given the crucial responsibility of keeping a close watch on two Russian spies. The film was extensively shot in Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh including La Martiniere College in Lucknow.
