Rancher creates mutant sheep for brutal blood sport

MONTANA rancher Arthur Schubarth "Jack" spent more than a decade as a real-life Dr. Frankenstein creating giant hybrid sheep to be sold and hunted as trophies at shooting preserves, lawmen say.

According to court documents, Schubarth, 80, imported flesh from a slain Marco Polo argali sheep-the world's largest species of the animal from Kyrgyzstan to the U.S. and arranged for a lab to make 165 cloned embryos of the enormous ungulate.
