After a stint at a dilapidated Brooklyn detention center, the disgraced 60-year-old socialite is now serving out her 20-year sentence at Federal Correctional Institution Tallahassee. There, she reportedly works just six hours a day in the prison library, passes time in pottery and crocheting sessions, and is wildly popular among the 755 female inmates, who recruited her to their softball team, named her their checkers champion - and ask the Oxford-educated sex fiend to recommend romance novels.
"Ghislaine cried a lot when she first arrived" and was disgusted by the food, says&nbsp;a recently released prisoner.&nbsp;"Now she has some friends and is eating more. She's bubbly, you see her smiling.
She's visibly more comfortable." She's said to count among her best pals double murderer Narcy Novack and multimillion-dollar swindler Linda Morrow. The three "band together because they are the most high-profile prisoners here," notes the ex-con.
Brainy Ghislaine was even nominated by fellow inmates to represent her unit in a big checkers competition.
"Ghislaine has landed on her feet in Tallahassee," declares the source. "She could be in a much tougher place and probably deserves to be!"
