PANICKED HUNTER SHOOTS SELF DURING BEAR ATTACK

A PLUCKY hunter who mistakenly shot himself in the leg while taking down a 1,000-pound grizzly ripping him to shreds says he’d shoot himself all over again if it meant saving him and his dad from the monster’s maw!

Tyler Johnson, 32, had been out hunting in the Alaskan wilderness for hours with his father, a wildlife trooper, on a trail not far from Anchorage when flags marking the way became harder to locate, and his experienced dad suddenly shouted: “Bear!”

“Almost simultaneously, the bear did its growl,” recalls Tyler. “If you’ve ever heard a grizzly … it’s shocking!”
