Betrayal, lies & FBI raid hold ex-president’s feet to the fire

ONALD TRUMP is fighting for his life after the FBI raided the ex-president’s Mara-Lago mansion and

seized evidence experts claim could prove he committed a crime and send him to jail.

But Trump, who was in New York when federal agents searched his Florida estate on Aug. 8, is crying the search warrant issued by a federal judge is the result of a political witch hunt.

Sources say the warrant indicates the feds were seeking documents Trump was banned by law from taking out of the Oval Office — including papers classified top secret — when he moved to the Sunshine State after his term ended on Jan. 20, 2021. Bureaucrats charge the former commander-in-chief refused several official requests to turn over the files.

However, legal eagles say G-men may have stumbled across evidence relating to Trump’s role in other scandals — including a plot to certify false presidential electors and the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill coup attempt — and any items seized during a lawful search are fair game for prosecutors — even if they pertain to other potential crimes.

Trump and his supporters are railing against the FBI search, calling the warrant an “outrage.” The former president claimed the move was a “weaponization of the justice system” and an “attack by Radical Left Democrats” who were attempting to smear him so he can’t run for president in 2024.
