<p>The care team for the 59-year-old former TV personality announced she was diagnosed last year with aphasia &mdash; which robs the ability to process words &mdash; and frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a dreaded progressive disorder that warps the brain. Experts say this could explain the bizarre behavior that led Wendy to lose her talk show in 2022.&nbsp;</p>
<p>To address questions about her ability to process information, her team revealed: &ldquo;In 2023, after undergoing a battery of medical tests, Wendy was officially diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.&rdquo;</p>
<p>They say Wendy &ldquo;maintains her trademark sense of humor&rdquo; during treatment in an undisclosed facility.</p>
