Parading around the Stade de France in a gold plastic crown with a Union flag draped around her shoulders after winning the women's 800m final, the Greater Manchester-born athlete lapped up the attention as her fans cheered.
Keely, 22, later partied into the night, celebrating her triumph in the Pigalle quarter of the French capital, and now plans to spend some of her winnings on a beige Porsche and a Cartier ring.
She is determined to increase her profile, too. "I always love to have a go at the opportunities that come my way from track and field," she said.
Another person who definitely enjoyed his time in Paris was rapper Snoop Dogg. The 52-year-old, rumoured to have been paid $500,000 (£390,000) per day by US broadcaster NBC, cheered on American sprinter Noah Lyles while wearing a top bearing the runner's face.
Snoop's enthusiasm was infectious at every event he attended; he even dressed up in traditional equestrian gear to cheer on a horse named after one of his most famous songs, Gin and Juice.
HORSING AROUND
"From the front to the back, there's so much drama, and party - it's hard being a h-o-r-s-e," he rapped as he stood alongside his friend and fellow presenter Martha Stewart.
Meanwhile, track star Noah, who took gold in the 100m final, earned plaudits for his swagger and style. Before sprinting his way to victory, the 27-year-old modelled braids beaded with pearls, a diamond-encrusted chain link necklace, colourful painted nails and a £13,500 Omega Speedmaster watch.
