Sharing her love for casual clothing, Alex Jones tells us why her new collaboration is a good fit
RACHEL STORY
GIRL NEXT DOOR

Alex Jones has captured the hearts (and living rooms) of many thanks to her longstanding career as co-host of BBC1’s The One Show. The TV presenter has also covered some of the nation’s highest-profile events, including the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Eurovision Song Contest and Comic Relief, and made the Strictly Come Dancing semi-final in 2011 – all while helping bring up children Teddy, six, Kit, four and two-year-old Annie with husband Charlie Thomson.

Despite her busy lifestyle, Carmarthenshire-born Alex always looks good and last year became the latest ambassador for British casualwear brand Cotton Traders, showcasing her favourite pieces for each season.

We caught up with her to find out more about the partnership and her latest edit for spring…

Alex, tell us about your ambassador role…

“The main thing I loved about Cotton Traders is they are a British company. To be honest, I hadn’t really looked a lot at the brand before, but when I actually felt the samples, I was blown away by the quality. The price point is really good and it’s quality clothing. For that reason, they felt like a good match for me and also, I love their stuff.”

Which has been your favourite edit so far?

“Oh, gosh, it’s hard. Naturally, I like autumn/ winter in terms of clothes, just because I like cosy, chunky knits, coats, scarves and all the rest of it. But what surprised me is that spring/ summer was equally easy to pick.”
