As the daughter of Hollywood actor Johnny Depp and French singer and model Vanessa Paradis, Lily-Rose Depp has always led a life sprinkled with star power.

And although she’s inherited her glamorous mother’s striking features and catwalk poise, the 24-year-old is now forging her own path in show business.

As she makes her TV debut in the provocative Sky drama The Idol, Lily-Rose tells how her new role is a “dream” and how her mum – who, like her daughter, found fame in her teens – is one of her biggest inspirations as she builds a successful career in her own right.

“I look up to so many people, but I would have to say that the women in my life – my mom, my grandmother, my aunt and my incredible female friends – are the people I look up to the most,” says the model and actor, who became Chanel’s youngest global ambassador at the age of 16, following in the footsteps of her mother, who has been a muse for the fashion house since 1991. “[They are] the women who have really shaped the kind of woman I would like to become.”
