As the spiritual home of haute couture, Paris always serves up the most dramatic catwalk shows. And last week’s collections for spring and summer were a veritable feast for fashionistas, from the style adventures of Jean Paul Gaultier to the classic tweeds of Chanel.
Kicking off the week, actress Zendaya caused a sensation when she arrived with an eye-catching new micro-fringe to view the Schiaparelli catwalk at the Petit Palais museum.
BLACK AND WHITE DRAMA
The Spider-Man star matched her dramatic new hairstyle with an all-black outfit featuring 3D knotted spikes, which she wore on the front row beside her Euphoria costar Hunter Schafer.
Joining them, singer and actress Jennifer Lopez went monochrome in a scene-stealing outfit from the label, featuring a white ruffled jacket covered with fresh rose petals, a thick ribbed polo-neck jumper and high waist leggings, rounded off with a pair of sculptural gold sunglasses and a handbag from the label with a stylised face embellishment.
Clearly thrilled with her outfit, Jennifer posted an image of herself at the show with the caption: “A coat made of 7,000 real rose petals kept fresh and alive by sugar water, also known as hummingbird nectar. Designed especially for me by @DanielRoseberry for @Schiaparelli Couture 2024. Excited for this journey into my Hearts + Flowers Era…”
