With her daughter Princess Charlotte at her side, the Princess of Wales was welcomed back to Wimbledon with a standing ovation as she made her second public appearance of the year.
Kate, 42, looked radiant taking her place in the royal box alongside nineyear-old Charlotte and sister Pippa Middleton, 40, for the men's singles tennis final, responding to the crowd with a beaming smile.
Mother and daughter weren't the only ones enjoying a day out. Football fans the Prince of Wales and elder son Prince George - who turns 11 this week - were travelling to Berlin to watch England v Spain in the Uefa Euro 2024 final, though six-year-old Prince Louis is thought to have spent the day with his grandmother Carole Middleton.
Kate's tight-knit family have rallied around her since her diagnosis with cancer earlier this year and the strong female figures in her life have played a key part in putting a smile on her face, despite the strain of chemotherapy treatment.
MOTHERLY ADVICE
"Carole has been there for them throughout, supporting Kate, but William too, talking to him and giving encouragement, given his own father has also been diagnosed with cancer," says royal author Robert Jobson, "They are a very close family and they were all pretty shocked by Kate's illness, but it has brought them even closer together."
The close bond between the Princess and her sister and also between aunt and niece - was clear to see as the smiling trio chatted to each other on Centre Court.
Six months after undergoing the abdominal surgery that led to her cancer diagnosis, Kate appeared delighted to be back, taking in the excitement of the men's singles final in her role as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club.
Wearing a purple Cecilia dress by Safiyaa to match her green and purple club ribbon, the Princess stood on the stairs and waved to the crowds after being met with a huge round of applause.
