Sources claim Epstein was livid Gates refused to back a charity fund he was launching through JPMorgan Chase in a desperate attempt to whitewash his reputation after he was nailed for having sex with a 14-year-old girl in Florida.
Although Gates didn't bow to Epstein's attempted extortion, the computer genius paid a horrible price for his association with the kinkster, who died in 2019 under suspicious circumstances in a New York City jail while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
In 2021, Bill went through a blistering divorce from his wife of 27 years, Melinda French Gates, who walked away with half his $130 billion fortune after expressing profound outrage over his friendship with Epstein.
Although a spokesperson for Gates, 67, insists the Microsoft co-founder met with Epstein "solely for philanthropic purposes," he now concedes the creep "tried unsuccessfully to leverage a past relationship to threaten him."
Epstein's fledgling charity, which never got off the ground, was to be created in partnership with his banker, JPMorgan Chase.
