As Christine McGuinness continues her divorce battle with her husband of more than a decade, Paddy, she is reportedly feeling more determined than ever.
Christine, 35, and Paddy, 50, announced they were parting ways amicably in July 2022-but things could be set to change, as the former model appears in a much stronger position.
Paddy and Christine met when she was 19 and got married in June 2011. Two years ago, they announced they had decided to go their separate ways but insisted they "still have a great relationship". They've also lived together since then, in order to co-parent their 10-year-old twins Penelope and Leo and daughter Felicity, seven, under the same roof. But now, as the dissolution of their marriage is about to be confirmed, a source has claimed that Christine is making it her mission to use this time to her advantage.
"Christine is determined now - she's no longer holding back," the source said. "She knows she's popular and is starting to see support from the public. They think she's a great mum and admire how she raises three kids with autism, especially when she has it too.
"She's had a lot to deal with and has been feeling really vulnerable since the split, but this public support has given her a confidence boost."
Christine has reportedly enlisted "pitbull" celebrity lawyer Catherine Bedford - whose clients include Lisa Armstrong when she divorced Ant McPartlin - to represent her. And the public backing has given her the lift she needed to feel confident she can be a success on her own.
