SUSANNA REID TAKING TIME OUT Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna Reid has said she's taking a break from the show to enjoy the summer, and it would be understandable if she was using her time off to let her hair down and get back out on the dating scene.
The TV presenter, 53, was in a relationship with fellow journalist Dominic Cotton for 16 years, and the pair have three boys together, Sam, 21, Finn, 20, and Jack, 19. They broke up in 2014 and Susanna later dated Crystal Palace chairman Steven Parish, but their relationship ended in 2019.
But what should Susanna expect if she were to dip her foot in the dating pool especially as a high-profile TV star? Dating expert Jacob Lucas, speaking on behalf of AltIndex (altindex.com), believes ; Susanna should hit the apps.
"They're a great way of putting yourself back out there. Match with a few people, have some conversations. Apps are a great way to ease yourself into dating," he says.
He also believes the key at the beginning is to keep dates short. "The idea of a long, romantic dinner date can be daunting. If you're nervous, why not suggest going to a bar for a drink or even a coffee? That way, you're not inclined to stay long, but you can if you want to," he says.
Jacob also warns that Susanna being in the public eye could be an issue for some.
