As Holly Willoughby's work calendar fills up, with telly favourites such as Dancing On Ice and a new Netflix series, she's finally in a place to talk about what she called a "tough" year.
The former This Morning presenter broke down as she discussed the kidnap and murder plot that led to perpetrator Gavin Plumb being given a life sentence with a 16-year minimum term in jail.
"When something like that happens, you have a decision to make," she told The Sunday Times Style magazine. "You either decide, 'Right, I can take this on board and it can absolutely affect all aspects of my life.' Or I can make a choice to go, 'Let's focus on everything that's positive and good, all those important things."
Holly, who turns 44 next week, seems set for another presenting triumph in her new Netflix show, Celebrity Bear Hunt with Bear Grylls, but told the magazine that she always knew she'd "come back" and getting back to normal was important to her.
