With just days to go until the arrival of her first baby, Amy Hart has adopted a positive mindset for the birth.
The former Love Island star tells new,“How bad can it be? People go back for seconds, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths. My nan’s mum had 12 or 14 children. It can’t be that bad.
“Everyone says to me, ‘You’re really naive and stupid.’ But that’s what I’m sticking with. I can either go in with a positive or negative mental attitude, so I might as well go in positively.”
The 30-year-old, who found fame in the Majorcan villa back in 2019, has had quite the journey to motherhood. Before meeting boyfriend Sam Rason, she decided to freeze her eggs, going through the procedure four times and planning to start solo IVF in November 2022, due to her family history of early menopause.
But that all changed when “amazing” tech entrepreneur and model Sam, 33, walked into her life in 2021 and she conceived naturally last year. “I never thought someone like Sam existed,” she says. “The fact that I have him, I feel very lucky every day.”
As the couple prepare to welcome their first child, Amy – who was 39 weeks pregnant at the time of new going to press – talks about her labour plan, her mum’s doubts about hypnobirthing and her plans to get married before expanding her family…
